Hi. I'm Hannah. I'm a knitter, crocheter, spinner, and dyer, living in Philadelphia with my partner and three beautiful cats.
I wanted to start a website and blog to share the crafts I've grown to love over the years, and hopefully find a way to teach, share with my surrounding community, and bring the healing power and beauty of fiber arts into people's lives.
I am inspired by fiber because it is so central to each one of our lives, whether we are conscious of it or not. I believe the mindful creation of our own clothing or handmade goods makes us more aware and appreciative of its importance. The act of creating with fiber also has a calming, therapeutic, and restorative effect for many who try it.
I also have a goal to maintain a focus on sustainable, ethical processes in the fiber arts. In my own creations, I try to avoid using synthetic materials, unless the purpose is for upcycling, or reducing waste.
I want my fiber arts practices to not only benefit myself--I want to share the love of these crafts with others and become a part of the larger community of creators out there in the world.
